Supporting the Next Generation of Communication and Marketing Professionals
The Tennessee College Public Relations Association (TCPRA) annually awards a $500 student scholarship recognizing outstanding students pursuing careers in communications, marketing, public relations, digital media, journalism or related fields within higher education.
The scholarship is intended to support and encourage future professionals who demonstrate academic achievement, leadership potential, creativity and a passion for strategic communications and marketing.
The scholarship recipient will be recognized during the annual TCPRA Conference.
Scholarship Award
- One annual scholarship award of $500
- Scholarship check is presented to the student during the TCPRA Annual Conference
- Funds may be used toward educational expenses, professional development or conference participation
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student enrolled at a Tennessee college, university, community college or technical institution that is a current dues-paying institutional member of TCPRA
- Be pursuing a degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, media, digital communications or a related field
- Demonstrate interest in a career in communications/marketing/related field
- Be in good academic standing with their institution
- Only students attending institutions with an active TCPRA membership at the time of application are eligible to apply.
Application Materials
TCPRA member institutions must submit:
- Completed nomination form
- Current resume of nominated student
- Unofficial academic transcript of nominated student
- One letter of recommendation from a faculty member, adviser, supervisor or communications/marketing professional
Selection Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on:
- Academic achievement
- Leadership and campus/community involvement
- Creativity and professional potential
- Commitment to the communications/marketing profession
